My primary interest is in the area of teaching mathematics and education courses to high school and university students and I would consider other related instructional positions that may be available. With a Masters Degree in Education and over 5 years of experience in the education field, I am confident that I would be a great contributor to your organization.
My career in education includes over five years as a high school teacher, where I acquired the skills and passion needed to become a true educator. As a high school mathematics teacher, I was successfully able to prepare grade 12 students for international exams like the SAT and the Advanced Placement (AP) exams. I have consistently been recognized for solid presentation and instructional skills within large classroom settings as well as for my ability to quickly bond with my students through my gentle interaction methods. As a faculty member in the math department at an international school in Abu Dhabi, UAE, I was partly responsible for reviewing and critiquing and adapting the math curriculum and as a result contributed to the successful American accreditation and school improvement that was obtained by The Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation (CITA).
Complementing my valuable work experience I possess a Master’s Degree in Education with a concentration in Curriculum Studies from Mount Saint Vincent University, and a Bachelors degree in Mathematics from Dalhousie University, both in Canada. I am fully fluent in English and Arabic and possess excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office as well as several statistical software packages.
